Mebeverine HCl
Anti-Spasmodic
The intestine is a long muscular tube which food passes down so it can be digested. If the intestine goes into spasm and squeezes too tightly, you get pain. This medicine works by relieving the spasm and pain.
Adults and children over 10 years : The recommended dose is one tablet three times each day. The tablets work best if you take them 20 minutes before a meal and space them evenly across your day. The number of tablets you take can be lowered if your symptoms improve. Do not give Mebeverine HCl 135 mg tablets to children under 10 years. OR As directed by your physician .
Difficulty breathing, swelling of your face, neck, lips, tongue or throat. You may be having a severe allergic (hypersensitive) reaction to the medicine . You may have a more minor allergic (hypersensitive) reaction to the medicine: e.g. skin rash, red itchy skin.
It is not expected to affect any other medicines that you take. Tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking or have recently taken any other medicines. This includes herbal medicines.
It is used to relieve the symptoms of irritable bowel syndrome (IBS). These symptoms vary from person to person but can include: *Stomach pain and cramps. *Feeling bloated and having wind. *Diarrhoea, constipation or a combination of both .*Small, hard, pellet-like or ribbon-like stools (faeces). It is also used to relieve cramps and pain in your stomach or gut caused by other medical conditions.
When you are allergic to mebeverine hydrochloride or any of the other ingredients of this medicine. Do not take medicine if the above applies to you. If you are not sure, talk to your doctor or pharmacist before taking this medicine.
This product contains lactose and sucrose. If you have been told by your doctor that you have an intolerance to some sugars, contact your doctor before taking this medicinal product.
Talk to your doctor or pharmacist before taking this medicine if you have had any diseases of the bowel, apart from irritable bowel syndrome (IBS).
Talk to your doctor or pharmacist before taking this medicine : If you have developed new symptoms or your symptoms have become worse.
If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to have a baby, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking this medicine .

Store this medicine at room temperature, away from direct light and heat.
