Description

Apityzer Syrup/Suspension primarily acts through its active ingredient, apixaban, which is an oral direct factor Xa inhibitor. It selectively and reversibly binds to the active site of factor Xa, thereby inhibiting the conversion of prothrombin to thrombin and ultimately preventing the formation of fibrin clots. By blocking factor Xa, Apityzer directly interferes with the common pathway of the coagulation cascade, effectively thinning the blood and reducing the risk of thrombus formation. This mechanism of action helps in preventing and treating thromboembolic events, as it inhibits the key enzyme responsible for the generation of thrombin and subsequent clot development.
